Ugg booties

A friend suggested I make some Ugg booties ages ago when I had loads of Sirdar snowflake chunky wool left over from a different project.  Unfortunately I lost the pattern she sent me but found another on Ravelry.  It is a very simple and easy pattern but I am left thinking that the booties lack a bit of shape.  Maybe I will try and find the other pattern and have another go...
These are 6-12 month size.  Are babies too young to get into brands like 'Ugg's?  Probably not and in any case, these are definitely not the 'real thing'!

A late Wedding card

A family friend who I have known since I was a child (we used to live opposite each other for a while) got married last November.  I was due to go to the wedding and of course had promised myself that I would make them a special card (I haven't seen them for about 20 years now!).  It wasn't to be because I was too ill at the time, but I stuck to my promise and made the card today.  Better late than never, as they say.  Got to get moving as it is her brother's wedding in May and so another wedding card is needed...
I will enter this card into this weeks Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 challenge (the elements of the sketch are all present but moved around slightly- hope this is ok).

Two Duke cards

Another two cards made using the Duke set from Digistamp Boutique and this weeks I love Promarkers sketch.  I think I like the second better...

Hedgehog with love

Another card that I made yesterday.  This time I followed (or tried to follow- I think I might have missed out one layer) this weeks Mojo Monday challenge sketch.
I might be back later today... I have a list of birthday cards that won't make themselves and a knitting project on the go...

Chick family

Another DigiStamp Boutique chick card, this time using the sketch from this weeks Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 challenge.
I will also enter this into this weeks Cute Card Thursday challenge- buttons and bows.

Two chicks Easter

Is it to early to make Easter cards?  I wanted to use these DigiStamp Boutique images that I bought the other day.  I was going to buy some new papers (bright colours are missing from my paper collection) but went into Solihull the other day only to find the stationers that I normally get craft stuff from closed down in December :-(  Where am I going to go now?  There is a Hobbycraft not too far away but nowhere else really.  I like a bit of choice...
Anyway, I will enter these cards into this weeks I love Promarkers (sketch) challenge.

Pengiun Christmas

Another card which I made yesterday.  Thanks to Kathy for leading me to the Stamplorations blog. I also love a sketch challenge.  I have used another DigiStamp Boutique image which has been sat on my hard drive for a while :-)

Hedgehog Easel

I made this Christmas card yesterday using a stamped image I have had for a while.  I will enter the card into this weeks Passion for Promarkers (shaped cards) and ABC Christmas (die cuts- nesties and flowers) challenges.

Zentangle Mail Art

Clare suggested that we have a mail art swap.  I've not done mail art before and probably have been a bit naïve in my envelopes (forgot to put a bit of card inside to stop them getting creased for instance).  Decided to go all out with zentangle for three of them and a bit of sketching on the fourth.  All coloured with bright promarkers to fit the theme of the swap.

Happy Anniversary

I missed my friend's wedding anniversary last week- I always try to make a card in time.  This year it will be late :-(  Still better late than never.  I will enter this into this months DigiStamp Boutique monthly competition and this weeks Passion for Promarkers (heart) challenges.

Elephant I

I fell in love with a lot of DigiStamp Boutique images over the last year and have not been able to use them due to being away from home.  Now I am back I intend to get them all printed, coloured and made into cards!  This is a first.  I will enter this card into this weeks I love Promarkers challenge- gingham/checks/plaid.

Dad's birthday card

I used a Pollycraft image that I bought in the summer on this card for Dad who likes go-kart racing (taking part) at the grand age of 63 (next week)!
I will enter this card into this weeks Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge.

Monochrome Thankyou

I made this card last weekend but never got the chance to blog it.  It follows the sketch from this weeks Retro Sketch.

Home

I have been home this weekend for the first time in 6 months and have had a little bit of a card making session (well, reunion with my Promarkers as the cards themselves aren't very good!)

Stripy Dog

I made this dog for a friend's baby months and months ago using Sirdar baby crofter wool in blue with white Sirdar Snuggly contrast.  It was almost the same size as him when I gave it to him.  Unfortunately I didn't get a photo of dog mark 1 and so decided to make another.  This time (dog 2) I followed the same Sirdar pattern but used Aldi aran wool and increased the needle size accordingly.  It has turned out a little larger than expected!  But how can you not love him anyway?

Cow hat

I decided to make another animal hat from my book.  This time it was a cow hat, destined for a friend who likes cows (or used to).  The hat looks better on than in the photo, but if I made it again I would probably use aran wool not DK to give it a bit more shape.  (It would have also helped if I hadn't gone a bit wrong with the decrease pattern at the top of the hat...)
Dad has decided he wants a hat now.  I gave him one for Christmas!  (Short memory!)
