LGS Challenge 30th January

Rosie set the challenge this week and this twist was to use things from your stationary box on the cards. I tried to use as much as possible on one card (the Lofty the Giraffe card- a green file divider cut up, a paperclip, staples, a file name plate and the white part of a plastic pocket cut up) and was more subtle on the second (just used staples, a brad and safety pins).

Willow Sketchie Challenge

This is my first Willow Sketchie Challenge. It is great that it has started back up this week because I like doing sketchie challenges- it gives you some ideas before you start! I decided to add a strip of lace after re-discovering that I had these diecuts at the bottom of a box for the Lets Get Stamping Sketchie Challenge last weekend. The image is from the free stamps with the issue before last of Cardmaking and Papercraft- I must have used those stamps a lot now! I will try to use Willow design downloads other weeks, but I only have a Christmas one at the moment and don't feel like making too many Christmas cards yet!

C is for Candy

This is the second card I have made for the ABC Christmas Challenge blog. This time is is 'C is for Candy' and the twist is pink. I have used a Pink Petticoat image of a penguin sledging on a candy cane, which I think is cute! I have used lots and lots of the colour pink too!

Origami

I made two origami heart shaped coasters to give to my friend and her husband for their 1st wedding anniversary. The traditional gift for the first anniversary is paper, so I think that origami is just great for that!

Shaker Cards

Inspired by the article on shaker cards in the latest issue of Cardmaking and Papercraft I have made two cards. The first is for my friend and her husband for their first wedding anniversary in a few weeks time and the second is for Mum and Dad to give at a wedding they are going to at the start of February.

A few cards for Cancer Research!

I raided the stock of my cards that I have made and put a load in the Cancer Research bags to take to the shop tomorrow. Some are cards I made recently and some I made quite a while ago. I have donated about 25 already this year and this is my second trip to the shop. I'll put most of the cards I make which are A6 in the coming month into the campaign too. (I have done this is for the last two years when it was for Marie Curie.)

Pixie Dust Studio Challenge 5

I thought I'd have a go at this challenge because the theme is lots of glitter and sparkle, which I like to put on cards anyway! I also love the 'Pixie Pie is catching hearts' digi download that I have- it is versatile for use on girly brithday cards as well as love themed cards.

ECP Challenge- Lavender

I made this card last night to enter the lastest ECP Challenge, which is to create something using the colour scheme lavender. It's my first time to enter the ECP challenge, like my first time entering all the challenges, and so haven't been that adventourous and hence gone for a card. I will try to make something else for future challenges perhaps.
The stamp and backing papers are from Cardmaking and Papercraft- free gifts in this issue and last issue.

Lets Get Stamping 23rd Jan

These are the cards I made for the Lets Get Stamping sketchie challenge this week. The sketchie was set by GDT Cherry, who did a great job and came up with a twist that got me thinking- 'interlocking'. I decided to try stamping on some jigsaw diecuts which I have had for a while. These are the end results, although the photos aren't the best because the flash reflected off the shiny papers.

B is for 'bells'

This is the card I made for the ABC Christmas Challenge. I missed the first one (A is for 'angels') but hope I am in time for the second. I have added a little bell in the ribbon bow under the image. The twist is to use glitter, which I have done on the image and one the brads at the side.

Some more love themed cards

I made these cards this morning using the free papers inside the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine again. The first uses the 'Roger the Bear' digi stamp, which I really like. The second uses 'Pixie Pie catching hearts' again- this time with blonde hair! Not sure why I am making valentines type cards, since I don't have anyone to send them to....lol!

Pollycraft Monday 32- Fire and Ice

This is my first Pollycraft challenge entry. Made this card tonight. Thought red and white fitted with a valentines theme. The backing papers are from the latest issue of Cardmaking and Papercraft and the digi image is a free download I got last week called 'Pixie Pie is catching hearts'.

Lets Get Stamping 17th Jan

These are the cards I made last weekend for the Lets Get Stamping weekly sketchie challenge on Craftbubble.

Promarker Challenge 7

Hi
Just setting up this blog and so might not have much on it for a while- working out what to do first!
These are the cards I made for the I love Promarkers sketchie challenge for January:

The 1st card uses my Messy Rabbit stamp. I added Glossy Accents to the ears and paws to make them shiny.

The 2nd is my newest stamp- Lofty the giraffe. I got him because Mum's family is Irish and I thought I could make some birthday and greetings cards to give to Mum in the future.
