Rooster

I got this Rooster image from DigiDoodle shop nearly a year ago now and this is the first time I have used it. I always think their images will be difficult to colour and so I put them off, but every time I do take the 'challenge' and actually colour one, I find that they are not so bad and I like the results. This time I have followed the sketch for their current challenge.

Candy

Jessica Lynn is giving away $65 dollars worth of stamps in Candy on the 5th July.

M is for Monochrome

I was busy crafting all yesterday but can't put it on my blog for a while as it was a special birthday card for Mum. I did manage to make this card today though, so that I do manage to get one post in this week. I have used one of my new Stampfairy images along with some Pinkpetticoat papers (printed in grayscale) to make this monochrome card for this weeks ABC Christmas challenge (M is for Monochrome). The card follows the sketch from this weeks Stampfairy challenge and Willow Sketchie challenge. I will also enter the card into this weeks I love Promarkers challenge (anything goes).

Sonny's Party

Paula from Pollycraft is having a DT call (the details are here) and she has released two freebies for people to use to make cards for it. I have used the image 'Sonny's Party' to make this card. It has been coloured with PMs and I have added some glitter for a bit of extra decoration. The flowers are hand made and I wanted to use kraft cardstock for matting on this card for a change- I just love kraft and only just managed to buy myself a supply a few weeks ago and so now want to use it!
I will enter the card into the following challenges:
Pollycraft Monday (flowers and ribbon)
CES challenge (lots of sparkly flowers)
Hope you like the card.

Baseball

I got this Stampfairy image the other day thinking it was a cricket image. Now I look more closely I realise it is baseball, but I like it all the same. Not sure I know many baseball fans though- not as popular this side of the Atlantic. This weeks Stampfairy challenge (a masculine touch) was the perfect chance to use my new image. I have used the sketch from this weeks CMLI sketchie, set by Kathy, which also had the theme of masculine and monochrome. I will also enter the card into this weeks I love Promarkers challenge (black, white and one other colour- grey) and Digidoodle Shops Best challenge (stitching- I had added faux stitching to the panel which goes across horizontally).

Another wedding card

After making a wedding card last weekend I wanted to make another using this DigiStamp Boutique image and the challenge this week for Passion for Promarkers was the perfect opportunity (theme- weddings). It is another white on white type card- I think that suits weddings perfectly. I have used my nesties again, this time pyramidaging my image into 3 layers. I also added glitter and Glossy Accents to the image to make it more of a focal point.

July Give Away

This months Give Away on Digistamp Boutique is this super image 'Emmy expecting'- perfect for birthday cards to pregnant women or for baby shower cards. It is quite hard to get images of pregnant ladies, but one that I'm sure most people would use a some point.

Love and Marriage

I thought I'd try and make a few wedding cards in the next few months. Last year I made a couple and gave them to a friend to give at the weddings she went to (I don't know anyone getting married at the moment)- it is always nice to have a couple handy in case I get asked for one. This weeks CMLI sketchie was set by Lauren and the twist was to let our image shine- so that it was the focal point of the card. I decided to try and make a simple wedding card- not quite CAS, but trying to get there. It is white on white (or cream on cream). I have used a Pollycraft image and my new nesties! I will also enter this card into this weeks Pollycraft challenge (love and marriage).

L is for Love

This weeks ABC Christmas challenge is 'l is for love' and the colours red, green and silver. I have used this Digistamp Boutique image which I bought last year for an ABC Christmas challenge (I think it might have been 'M for mistletoe'). I have used the sketch from this weeks Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

Daisy the Cow

I brought this digi from Stampfairy a while ago and have wanted to use it for ages. I made this card using the sketch from this weeks I love Promarkers Challenge and the themes of this weeks Do it with Digis (animals) and Passion for Promarkers (pink and brown).

Card board boxes

This weeks CMLI challenge was set by Rosie and theme twist was to include card from a cardboard box somewhere on your card. I have made the embellishments out of card board from the packaging inside a calender- close enough to a card board box I hope.

Sparkly bling

I started making this card last night and finished it off just now. I was given this image from a friend but wasn't quite sure how to colour it, I hope it looks OK now. I decided this was a perfect image to go with the sparkly bling themed challenges this week. I will enter the card into this weeks Pear Tree Designs challenge (sparkle), Sweet Sketch Wednesday (sketch), I love Promarkers (sparkly bling) and Cute Card Thursday (embellish the image- I have added glitter and gems).
