Easter
This is an Easter card I made using the sketch from this weeks CMLI sketchie. I was bad though and didn't make a card for the theme because I didn't have a suitable image ('home sweet home'). I do need some Easter cards since it is a few weeks time and I don't have enough to send people yet. Hence I made this card using a Pinkpetticoat image I got last year for Easter cards. I do like Pinkpetticoat, but don't get round ot using their images as much as I would like. I should really try out some of their paper too since I see amazing things other people make with it.I will also enter this card into this weeks I love Promarkers challenge (emboss it- can you make it out? I hav emebossed the white layer on the left of the card).

A special 60th card
This is a special 60th card I made a few weeks ago for Mum's friend's birthday. I would like to enter it into this weeks Pollycraft challenge which is 'friends'. I know the image is not one you would automatically associate with the theme but I think 'friends' definitely fits the recipient of the card. Mum has two friends from school and they are still all very close. One had their birthday last Septmeber and I made them a special card last year. The other friend has her birthday a a week or twos time and then it's Mum's turn in July. Not only are they Mum's friends now but also family friends and so this card is actually going to be sent from me (Mum will have to get her own card to send!).I would like to say a thankyou to Paula for the image since it is one I won on her blog a few weeks ago when I guessed the Cogs and Critters image that she first drew correctly. I hope I have done the image justice. I will also enter this card into this weeks DCD challenge- a food themed digi image (I hope a cocktail is OK as the food part).
Lenny Bee (again)
This weeks Stampfairy Challenge is a photo inspiration and it fits perfectly with this card I made a few weeks ago for a CMLI sketchie and forgot to post on my blog. I have used my Lenny Bee image agian- he is just so cute and reminds me of sunny days and spring. I have take the garden feel of the photo along with the blue background and yellow in the flowers. I will also enter this into this weeks CES challenge (die cut crazy- I have used my Cuttlebug to die cut the flowers from a Sizzlets die and then shaped them) and Passion for Promarkers challenge (theme- bugs).

Seaside
This weeks CMLI sketchie was set by Kathy and the theme was 'I do like to be beside the seaside'. I made this card last night for the challenge. I was going for the CAS look but I know this one has NOT turned out very good (although it is a bit better in real life than it is in the photo). For the purpose of not being a perfectionist, I am posting this card anyway- I guess it can serve as a reminder to myself of what a bad card is so that I can be happier with other cards in the future without spending hours tweaking little bits on them until they are 'just so'.I will enter the card into this weeks I love Promarkers challenge (mens cards) and CES (inspired by a song- 'I do like to be beside the seaside').

F is for Freebie
This weeks ABC Christmas challenge is 'F is for Freebie' and they have an ace Christmas digi freebie from Stampfairy for you to use. You can also use any other Stampfairy image on your card provide you follow the sketch for this challenge. I have decided to use a Christmas Elf image from Stampfairy on my card, but the papers are digi freebies which I downloaded ages ago and so I think the card is still in the spirit of 'f is for freebie'. I will also enter the card into this weeks Stampfairy challenge, which is the colour green.
Duck with flower
I have had this image for a while now and not used it. It is a freebie which I picked up and thought would be ace for an Easter card and so now I am thinking about making some Easter cards it is time I got it out! There are so many sketch challenges this week- it's great I love sketches! This card is for this weeks Passion for Promarkers challenge (sketch). I have kept the design fairly clean with some white space and resisted using backing paper on the whole card: a difficult task for me. Has it worked???

Yorkshire Air Ambulance Fundraising
Emma is having another fundrasing appeal for Yorkshire Air Ambulance in memory of her father. You can find out more about the campaign here. I think she is one amazing lady having kept up the fundrasing for well over a year now and raised over £800.
It is also a super chance to win some crafty candy: you can enter once for every pound you donate. Please pop over to her blog and offer some support.

A nice cuppa
I just adore the latest freebie from Pollycraft- Flo with a nice cuppa tea. I was waiting to use it and thought this weeks Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge would be the perfect chance. I have to admit this card is a little earlier in the week than I normally manage for this challenge because I saw the sketch posted at the weekend! I know that is cheeky, but since I work all week I thought that I would get a head start. Anyway, this is the card I made:

For Men Only
This weeks CES challenge is the theme for men only. I had just made this card using 'Hoppy Days' Pollycraft image that I won last week in the blog hop to celebrate the release of a new range of digis. Such an adorable image I think.
Fly me to the moon
This weeks Pollycraft Monday challenge was the theme 'fly me to the moon'. I thought I would go with the 'space' aspect of this and use my Cogs and Critters images. I made a card on Tuesday but then decided it didn't work that well- too green! Hence it was dismantled and I finished making another today. Not sure how well it has worked out- you know when you have an idea in your head but then it doesn't quite look right in practice?

Easter Bunny
I thought it was about time I made a start on my Easter cards now that we have had Pancake day. At the end of next week the undergrads here at Warwick uni start their Easter hols and so I guess it will be a bit quieter for everyone else :)! It all seems a bit odd to me though that the Easter hols don't actually include Easter this year- they are back before then!Anyway, I'm rambling. This is the card I made with a Pollycraft image that I got last year. I will enter the card into this weeks Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge and DCD challenge (Spring garden).

Birthday cake duck
This weeks Passion for Promarkers challenge is 'food and drink'. I made this card for a CMLI sketchie a few weeks ago bit haven't posted it on my blog yet since it is for my Grandma's birthday (happy birthday!). It fits perfectly with the food and drink theme, with a Pollycraft image of a duck holding a birthday cake. (Image coloured with PMs as normal!)

Good Luck cards
This weeks CMLI sketchie was set by Karen and the theme was stripes. I decided to make good luck cards for the two MChem students I share an office with, for their exams and viva at the end of the year. I have used my Irish Lofty stamp, which I still really like! No St Patricks day outing for him this year because Mum is abroad, but I got him out for these cards instead. I will enter the cards into this weeks CES challenge, which is Good Luck or St Patricks Day.

Popcorn Christmas Snowman
This weeks ABC Christmas challenge is 'E is for embossing and embellishments'. I have embossed the circle behind the image with snowflakes and added 5 heart gems and a button.
I made this card also for the CMLI Christmas recipe challenge which Kathy set a week or so ago. (The recipe was 1) a snowman, 2) hot chocolate (the brown backing), 3) marshmallow colours, 4) snowflakes and glitter.) I will also enter the card into this weeks Pear Tree Designs challenge (ribbon).
