Oreo

Some how I don't think I bought any Oreo images from DigiStamp Boutique last year.  Thought I'd try this one when it was released in August and I love it.

Teamed with some papers from Tonic Studio- polar bears in the background so Oreo isn't lonely (lol!)

Sooo cute

This new baby set from DigiStamp Boutique is super cute.  It's always good to have a bit of a stock of baby cards as I get asked by Mum or friends for them from time to time.

Peek-a-boo spooky

Treating myself this year by indulging in making a few Halloween cards (I like making them but rarely send them and don't really celebrate Halloween- it's mainly just commercial I think).  Both these cards use images from one of DigiStamp Boutique's new(-ish) releases.

First Birthday

I was asked to make a first birthday card for a girl and so I used this super cute elephant digi from Drawn with Character along with lots of pink :-)

A month to Halloween....  I usually don't make many Halloween cards as I don't send any.  Thought this year I would do a few to take to the market to see if others wanted them (I doubt it actually).  Any excuse for buying the Peek-a-boo Halloween set from DigiStamp Boutique.

Craft Stamper girl

I've been meaning to make a card with this digi that came free with Craft Stamper a few month ago for ages.  I thought I'd go for the black and white look with just a touch of colour but by the time I had finished there was more colour than black and white- lol!

A bunch of flowers is a lovely gift to receive for any occasion.  I made this card using a DigiStamp Boutique image and a RetroSketches layout from a few weeks ago.  The papers are Tonic Studio.

I check out the Mojo Monday sketch nearly every week and invariably use it to make a card at some point.  I have been really bad lately with linking up my blog posts or even blogging the cards in time for the challenges I made them for!

Hoppy Birthday

I was looking through my stamps after a sort out of my craft things and just had to get this image inky.  Such a good image for a little boy's birthday card.

The card follows the current Sweet Sketch Wednesday layout.

An arty card!

I was in the mood for being a bit more messy the other day.  So when I made my summer school project for CMLI I also made this card:

Quite inspired to get the paint out again soon... :-)

Clare's Summer School

Clare ran a summer school again this year for a few people over on CMLI.  I don't get time to join in much with CMLI these days but love the work Clare does.  We are so lucky that she is willing to take time to make videos to share her knowledge.
Better late than never as it was almost autumn by the time I got round to doing the summer school - hence my autumnal colours.

 I have actually used the lid of a kraft box from the Works as my 'canvas'- it is quite small (maybe 4 inch square?)

 My first layer was furniture chalk paint (pinched from Mum)! Then came some shimmer paint, stamping in bronze brilliance ink and stencilling with acrylic paints.

 The butterflies and flowers were collaged on using tissue paper as shown in the summer school.  I then stamped again on bookpages to add more dimension.

The girl image is one of Clare's Paperartsy stamps coloured with pencil crayons for a change (I normally colour everything with promarkers!).

Surf's Up!

It's horrible to think that summer is coming to a close and it is going to get consistently colder and wetter again.  I always find I want to make bright cards in the winter to remind myself of sunnier days.  Any excuse to use these DigiStamp Boutique funky monkey images which are so fun!

Wedding congrats

A while ago I only made only white-on-white wedding cards.  Recently I don't seem to have made any white ones.  This one included- it's pink!

Sweet Little Baby

A friend asked me if I had a baby girl card the other day for her to use and I found that I only had one!  Thinks I'd better make it a mission to make a few baby cards to have in stock in the next month or so...  Hence I used this DigiStamp Boutique Bobbi image to make a baby girl card (do you think purple is girl-y enough?).

I've not gone AWOL

I've not gone AWOL although I know I haven't posted here a lot recently (all the posts were scheduled ones I wrote a while ago!).  I've just been really busy with two special blankets that were ordered from my etsy shop.
The first was the owl blanket that I showed on here (my blog) a while ago, but extended so that it fits an single bed:

 And the second was a very large Lego blanket which I had great fun designing as well as making:

 I'll try and write down the pattern for this and put it in the shop too for £1.50.

It's been quite a summer project doing these two and needed a lot of stamina.  Never thought I could make something this big but proud that I managed it.
