Golden Wedding

This is the second Golden Wedding card I have been asked to make this year!  I guess I will be making one for my parents in a couple of years so it is all good practice (although I might run out of all my gold papers and embellishments if I'm not careful!)

First Day at School

I bet that most children are not too happy to even be thinking of school at this point in August (in the Uk at least), but it's not too many weeks until term starts again.

Stewie wedding

It's 'wedding season' and so I've made another card.  I really like this cute mouse wedding set from DigiStamp Boutique.  I decided with this card to add the 'layers' onto the white blank rather than having extra backing paper.  I quite like the 'vintage' colour scheme- not tried that before for a wedding card, but it kind of works...

Just out of interest, does anyone know of any good 'anniversary' images?  I always struggle finding good ones for cards- there are loads of 'wedding' and 'valentines' but they are not always suitable.

Cutie Pie

I found out a few weeks ago that the son (and daughter-in-law) of a close family friend is expecting in October and so that got me in the mood for making a baby card.  This uses a cute baby animals Digistamp Boutique image.

Dino-mite

I love my cute images and bright colours when making cards, so when I found this dinosaur image from Drawn with Character I knew I wanted to make a card with it.

I was thinking that the heart-shaped biscuit must have 'dino-mite' on it (as opposed to 'marmite' or 'veggie-mite' ;-)

Rainbow bag

I was on a mission last week and the week before to do some crochet!  I got this yarn (King Cole rainbow prints bamboo cotton) at the NEC craft show the other week and have been pondering on what to make with it.

 The bag pattern is one I found on the internet and adapted slightly.

I was pleased with the way it turned out and it must have been a successful make as it sold straight away at the market last Friday!  I was amazed! (Most things take weeks to sell!)

Book-mad birthday card

Mum and Dad asked me to make a special 70th birthday card for their friend (who's surprise birthday party was yesterday).  Apparently he is mad about books and used to have a business buying and selling them.  So I made this pop up box style card with a Bugaboo booksitter image.

 The backing 'papers' were hand decorated using paints, inks, stencils and stamps!

New home

My first card 'order' from someone not friends/family!  Someone at Bentley Heath Country Market wanted a new home card and I made this for them, which they seemed to be happy with :-)
