Ladybird Hat
I was given a super knitting/crochet/sewing book as a thankyou- 'Animal Hats: 25 fun projects to knit, crochet and make from fleece' by Rachel Henderson. I WANT to make them all! However, being practical I thought I'd start with one that I already had the wool for (I am amassing wool here like I have card making stash at home- not good on the budget-lol).
Ok, taking a photo of a hat when it isn't on a head is difficult, especially if it has ear flaps ;-) Hopefully you can see the main features though...
This was meant to be for 6-12 months but I think is a bit big.... oooppps...

Christmas Spirits
I joined Ravelry just before Christmas (a recommendation from a friend) and found some quite cool patterns including one for a pair of Christmas Spirits by Cherry Berry Crochet. I started to make the red on on 23rd Dec but it turned out too big for my liking. Hence I took it apart and started again last week (for Christmas 2014 now). Here are the final products:

Baby Elephant
One of the staff in hospital is having a baby shortly. There was this crochet pattern for an elephant in a magazine a friend had. I decided to give it a go. Not yet a pro with crochet and some of the shaping to the head and body is not quite right- adds to the appeal apparently (?) Decided to add a little scarf too, to add some colour.
Poodle Power
A friend and I had a mini challenge over Christmas to knit a loopy-poodle each from the book Knitted Dogs by Joy Gammon.
The aim was to have a joke and so I made mine orange and yellow with green and purple 'accents'!

A long time
Sorry it has been a very long time since I posted here. I haven't been very well. However, I have done a fair amount of craft in the last 5 months- just not my usual card making. Stupidly it has taken me this long to get my parents to bring a mini SD card into hospital to enable me to take photos of my projects. Many things have been sent home or to their final destinations (presents). I have a few here though- of the knitted variety. (Have also done some cross stitch, crochet and zentangle recently.)
First up are a pair of Snowman slippers:

The knitting for these was done ages ago. It just took until today for me to sew them together. Disappointingly, the pattern came out really small, so I don't think I can wear them (unless my feet shrink). Probably wouldn't want to wear them in any case as they would get dirty to easily. The Sirdar Snowflake wool is lovely, but I bet would stay that way :-(
