Bed hat

I saw these on Pinterest  and thought they looked cute. Only problem was that the patterns I could find were for chunky wool and I only have DK (and this time I didn't want to double strand). So I fiddled around and after undoing and redoing parts many times, this is what I came up with: (it's for approx. 6 month year old)

Owl hats

A while ago a friend asked for some hats for her children for the winter. I got side tracked by making soft toys but was in the mood for something different recently. There are some fab patterns on the reoeatafterme blog. In the end I made three owl hats:
 Newborn.
6-12 months.
 Toddler/preschool.

Three Bears

I made the three bears from Goldilocks and the Three Bears in my Once Upon a Time in Crochet book. These were given as an Eid present last week:
 Daddy bear.
 Mummy bear.
Baby bear.
The family!

Bookmarks

I made a couple of crochet bookmarks for presents. The angle is a pattern I found on Pinterest  whereas the chick I made up!

Sundae Girl dress

I was given a copy of the Simply Crochet magazine last weekend. I have got a bit fed up of making soft toys all the time and so this cute little dress/top caught my eye. I changed the colours and used acrylic yarn rather than cotton just because it was what I had to hand.
Its size 2-3 years, not that I know anyone with a girl that age!

Heart Bunting

I got this fab kit to make heart bunting for my birthday (thanks Clare). I have been doing it slowly, in between other projects but put it together today- 7 hearts and 7 flowers in total. Might have another go in a different colour someday.

Frog Prince

This is the second pattern I have made from my 'once upon a time in crochet' book. I decided I liked him without the golden ball and so missed that bit out.
I loved the pattern for making the eyes on this one- you make the eye ball, stuff it and then sew it into the eye socket!

Super Cat

One (of the few) patterns from my Amigurumi book that I hadn't made until now. Even looked up how to do colour changes the 'proper' way!
OK, he looks a bit like a squirrel or something other than a cat, but it is the slightly dodgy design not that I didn't follow the pattern!
