Robot Shadow House

I was looking for something a bit different to make and found a shadow house project in a Craft Stamper magazine that I was given.

The images are from DigiStamp Boutique but I added a multitude of other things as embellishments, most of which I have had in my craft box for a while.
All sorts of hidden hardware including screws, nuts and a bear bottle top!
The houses and base were made from an Amazon envelop covered in book pages, a thin layer of gesso, acrylic paint and washi tape.

Playing with my statsh!

Playing with some more stash I couldn't wait to use one of Clare's images to make a card.  I also used some fab papers from TIGER that I was given a while ago.
For a second card I used more of the papers but kept the rest simple with an image I found already stamped in a box ;-)

60th Wedding Anniversary Card

Gosh it has been a long time since I blogged a card that I have made (and a long time since I have made a card!).  But I was reunited with my stash and the neighbours' 60th Wedding Anniversary gave me the mojo to get started.
I used a LOTV image and this weeks Sweet Sketch Wednesday layout.

baby hat avd mittens

I was experimenting around with a new crochet stitch I found on Pinterest (star stitch) and made this hat and mittens set. The ribbing didn't quite work the way it should do- too loose- but after three attempts I think I now know how to do star stitches.

Baby Mandela

I saw this Mandela blanket in issue 33 of simply crochet and thought I would give it a go. I needed to make a baby blanket anyway and this would be slightly different to the normal granny square version. I used pastel baby wool instead of the vibrant colours suggested and only completed up to round 44- any larger and it would be too big!

Snowman Hat

My fourth hat... a snowman one. I downloaded the pattern for this last November from the repeatafterme blog. I think the eyes are too big. The pattern said to use buttons for the eyes and mouth but I didn't want to on a child's hat (approx. 2 years). Might have to make another at some point...

Bed hat

I saw these on Pinterest  and thought they looked cute. Only problem was that the patterns I could find were for chunky wool and I only have DK (and this time I didn't want to double strand). So I fiddled around and after undoing and redoing parts many times, this is what I came up with: (it's for approx. 6 month year old)

Owl hats

A while ago a friend asked for some hats for her children for the winter. I got side tracked by making soft toys but was in the mood for something different recently. There are some fab patterns on the reoeatafterme blog. In the end I made three owl hats:
 Newborn.
6-12 months.
 Toddler/preschool.

Wolf!

This is the wolf which frightens the three pigs in nursery rhyme land.
