Bubbles

I made this card with a Pollycraft image I bought last summer and had sat on my hard drive for ages.  I will enter it into this weeks Mojo Monday (sketch), Little Miss Muffet (anything goes) and I love Promarkers (anything goes) challenges.

Pengiun pressies

This card was inspired by sketch #220 from Sketch Saturday.  I will also enter the card into this weeks Passion for Promarkers (embossing) and I love Promarkers (anything goes) challenges.

Merry Christmas

A final card for this week made using this weeks Retro sketches layout and another Pollycraft image.  I will enter this into this weeks Little Miss Muffet (anything goes) and I love Promarkers (anything goes) challenges.

'Box' cards

I have seen pop-up box-type cards in blog land a few times recently and thought that I wanted to have a go at making one.  I followed the step-by-step guide on Splitcoast Stamper for the first.

For some reason I wasn't 100% happy with this and so had another go with the DigiStamp Boutique Monster Birthday digi set:

White Wedding

A few weeks ago I made a wedding card for a family friend.  Now I have made one for her borther who gets married in May.  This time I opted for a Pollycraft image and a white-on-white layout.  I will enter the card into this weeks Little Miss Muffet (dollies and lace) and Sweet Sketch Wednesday (sketch) challenges.

Chester Christmas

I was looking through my digistamps and found this Chester set from Pollycraft which I haven't used for a while.  How can such a cute monkey not be printed?  I made this card with the following challenges in mind: Sketch Saturday (sketch), ABC Christmas (friends or family) and I love Promarkers (pink and brown).

Thanks!

I received a gift last week but had no idea who it was from- there was no card or name.  On Wednesday a friend emailed and then I put two and two together.  There was meant to be a note enclosed but the internet company had forgotten...  Anyway, I needed a thankyou card and so have made one:
I will enter the card into this weeks Mojo Monday (sketch) and Passion for Promarkers (monochrome) challenges.

Real Stamping

Ok, this may sound silly, but if the truth be known, I'm not much good at actually stamping with ink.  Digistamps are perfect for me!  But sometimes it is good to try and push yourself into new directions, which is what I have been doing a bit recently.  I love the projects that others make using black stamping and paper piecing and so had a go this week one afternoon when I was feeling pants with a cold.
This first card follows this weeks Retro Sketch layout:
Was the ribbon on the bottom too much?  Somehow I can't just leave things!
The second card uses this weeks Stamplorations layout:

Some crochet

First I thought I would finally take a few photos of a baby blanket that I made a while ago now, during my blogging absence.  It was my first attempt at using different crochet stiches (before that I had only made granny blankets).  Since, there has been no stopping me- crochet is so easy and versatile :-)

These are two Minion hats (minions from the film Despicable Me) that I made in the last week.  They are so easy to make.  I have to add though that it is not my pattern- a friend showed me how to make them and where to get the best wool from.  I made 3 at Christmas- one for a friend, one for Dad and a baby one.  These two will go to my next door neighbour, who is 80 in April (he likes to do jobs outside and usually wears a bobble hat, so thought he might like a new one) and my supervisor (as a thankyou??!).

Thankyou Buffy

On this card I have used a Buffy the Bunny image from DigiStamp Boutique.  I will enter the card into this weeks Passion for Promarkers (butterflies) challenge.  (Not quite sure about the layout of this card- should the bow and button be on opposite sides??)

Yappy Birthday 2

This time I used the Stanley birthday image from DigiStamp Boutique with some spotty papers.  The card follows the sketch from this weeks Sketch Saturday challenge.  I will also enter it into this weeks I love Promarkers (spotty) challenge.

It's a dogs life!

Another card using a Stanley image from DigiStamp Boutique.  This time I used some papers I have had in my stash for ages and this weeks Mojo Monday sketch.

Elf Christmas

I made this card a couple of days ago using a Pollycraft image that was released last summer just before the shop closed.  The card follows this weeks Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 sketch.

Birthday balloons

Another Pollycraft image...  this time I made a birthday card.  Quite a few male birthdays coming up out of the people I know and so I thought I'd best get a move on.  This card uses this weeks Mojo Monday sketch.

Get well soon

A bit of an emergency the other day when we got a phone call from the neighbour to say that her husband was ill and the ambulance was coming.  He is getting better now but I made a card.  Another Pollycraft image (think I am having a Pollycraft week!).
I will enter this card into this weeks I love Promarkers (spotty) and Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 (sketch) challenges.

Retro lollipop

I made this quick card on Sunday I think (oops- taken me ages to post it).  Used a Pollycraft image and the sketch from this weeks Retro Sketches.  Not sure I have 'hit the mark' with this...

Ruff Day?

I loved this Stanley set from DigiStamp Boutique after seeing all the DT cards made in February and so had to buy it.  This card was made using this weeks Mojo Monday sketch.  I will also enter it into this weeks Passion for Promarkers (flowers) challenge.

Buffy the Bunny Birthday

I got this set of images from DigiStamp Boutique to make a card for my friend who is rabbit mad (she has two - Max and Millie).  I will enter this into this weeks Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2, I love Promarkers (girls), Cute Card Thursday (gems) and Passion for Promarkers (flowers) challenges.

Snow Kisses

With the sun shining full blast outside it seems a little silly to be posting a picture of a Christmas card, but I am trying to keep up the effort to make them throughout the year this year.  This one uses a DigiStamp Boutique image I bought a while ago and the sketch from this weeks Sketch Saturday challenge (they have a blog hop to celebrate their 300th challenge, if you want to join in).

Spring splatters

I wanted to do something a little different (for me at least) last night and so made these two cards.  The background was made by flicking watercolour paint (and letting it drip down) onto card.  Then I stamped the flowers on top and added a bit of colour with promarkers.
I will enter the cards into this months Stampology challenge (spring and stamps).

Yappy Birthday

I fell in love with the Stanley set from DigiStamp Boutique after seeing the DT cards last month.  This card was made using the sketch from this weeks Sketch Saturday challenge.

Experimenting...

I'm not really very good at CAS cards.  Somehow my stamping is not good enough and always doesn't come out crisply or is off-centre etc.  They never look quite finished and/or a mess.  Anyway, I thought I would try with this weeks Stamplorations sketch to not use any patterned papers and leave a little bit more 'white space'.  I couldn't go the whole hog and not add an image though (I did on the first to start off with, but it looked terrible!).  The images are from DigiStamp Boutique.

It's a dog's life!

This is the second of my cards inspired by this weeks Retro Sketch challenge.  I made this card for a friend who has a dog small enough to fit in one of her bags.  The image and sentiment are from DigiStamp Boutique.

Retro Retirement

I have been following the Retro Sketches blog for a while and really admire the DT cards.  I never seem to quite hit the mark- I suffer from not liking 'white space' enough I think!
The other day, inspired by their latest sketch, I made two cards (this is the first).  I really sat on my hands not to fill in the white, but I think it paid off.  What do you think?

Spring!

I made this card on Saturday I think, but have been lazy about blogging it- other things to do in the last few days that were quite important!
Anyway, I am quite pleased with how this little card turned out.  I used a Pollycraft image I bought ages and ages ago but never printed before, along with some offcuts of paper.  I will enter it into this weeks Cute Card Thursday (spring) challenge.

Sweet elephant

I wanted to make a card for some family friends who have just adopted a little girl.  Wasn't quite sure how to go about this- to get the right things (ie not baby but similar sentiment).  Hope this is cute/sweet and is OK.
I will enter the card into this weeks I love Promarkers (die cut flowers) and Passion for Promarkers (digital image) challenges.

Santa's coming

Another card that I made during the week...  This time I went for a Christmas card using another Digistamp Boutique image.  The last Wednesday of the month means that the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 challenge has a twist to go along with it.  This time you could use any of the previous sketches (mine is sketch from week 3) to make a monochrome card.  I will also enter this into this weeks Passion for Promarkers (digital image) challenge.

Getting ready for St Patrick's Day

Ok, it might be a few weeks off yet but thought I would make a card for Mum while she is on holiday.  Saves me having to do it behind closed doors, wondering if she is going to randomly walk in on me.  Another Digistamp Boutique image on this card.  I will enter it into this weeks Mojo Monday (sketch- tall and slim) and Di's digi (green) challenges.

Love Robins?

I like robins, especially from this cute DigiStamp Boutique set (first outing of these images for me).  This card was inspired by Kathy's Rudolph challenge on the Purple Clubhouse blog (formally CMLI).  I will also enter the card into this weeks ABC Christmas (diecuts- the nestie for the image) and Passion for Promarkers (digital image) challenges.
