Having made a 'Mr Lovebot' card the other day I just had to make a 'Mrs' one too. The images are from a fab little Valentines set from DigiStamp Boutique.

NOt sure if I have ever used this DigiStamp Boutique image before- had it for more than a year now- and so thought I'd best give it an outing.

Jolly penguin
A second card using the jolly garlands set from DigiStamp Boutique. Going to have to print these images off again in the new year I think, when making cards for 2015...

Mr Lovebot
DigiStamp Boutique released a fab set the other day for Valentines day. Not sending Valentines cards I thought that I could use one of the images anyway to make a thankyou card. The card follows the current Mojo Monday layout.

Mini Thankyous
Inspired by Clare's very recent PaperArtsy project I decided to make a few little token thankyou cards. Ok perhaps they are a little small for writing a message too, but thought I could always write that on a piece of paper along with one of these little easels.
I started off with stamping in a golden coloured acrylic using a fab little freebie that I was sent with my first PA order (thankyou :-)). Then I went in with Clare's PaperArtsy stamps in black ink and brown acrylic paint.
The shapes were diecut with nesties and embellished with stamps from Clare's set- the flower was stamped on card painted first with red acrylic and the leaves on card painted with green acrylic. Final touch was to assemble the easel cards and add a bead to the centre of the flower.

Seasons Tweetings
To add to my 'flat' card stash...
The image is from the cute robins chicklets set from DigiStamp Boutique. I recently spotted that Aldi (the supermarket chain) had some 'paper tape' (otherwise known as washi tape) for Christmas... Very good price (it was their special offer deal for the week). Think it works quite well on this card. Amazing what you can find in odd places :-)

OK my tenth calendar for 2015 and time to call it a day after this one... phewww you all say! I used another dog image (Duke) from DigiStamp Boutique for this one.
Have you got a favourite out of the calendars I have made this year? Have you made a start on any? Inspired to do so??

Duchess and snowman
Having written most of my Christmas cards I have found that I had a distinct lack of 'flat' ones. As a consequence the postage bill is going to be quite a lot! Hence my 'self' challenge last weekend was to make 'flat' cards. Out of the five cards I made in total, I only succeeded in 'flat-ness' with three- good going for me (someone who loves to add a button to most things and who is addicted to sticky-fixer/foam pads...) lol!
This is one of the 'flat' ones. I hope it isn't too dimensionless.
The image is from the cute Duchess DigiStamp Boutique set. I will enter the card into this weeks I love Promarkers (snowmen) and Sketch Saturday (sketch 336) challenges.

I will enter this into this weeks Sketch Saturday challenge (it uses sketch 337).
So that's 9 calendars made.... Have you made any? I'd love to see xThursday, 27 November 2014
Christmas Monster
I am in love with this cute monster character from DigiStamp Boutique at the moment. First was the 'boo' image and then there have been two new additions this month- Christmas and Valentines. This card uses the Christmas version.
I've a feeling that it won't be long until I will be printing him/her out again :-)
The card follows this weeks Sketch Saturday layout.

Get Well Soon Chicklet
You never know when you need a 'get well soon' card and so I try (don't usually manage it!) to have one in stock. This new image from DigiStamp Boutique is just perfect I think.

Don't Bottle it!
Clare set a challenge for November on her Junk Journalling FB group: the theme 'bottle/bottles'. This is the junk I started out with:
A cardboard flyer and an empty squash bottle. First I added a thin layer of white gesso and then 'stamped' in yellow and green over the flyer using the side of my bottle. Next came some stamping in black using a proper stamp and then in blue paint using the bottle lid. Finally I added some bold touches in pink, stamping with the other side of the bottle lid.
To finish off I stamped the sentiment in black. However it didn't quite look finished and so I found a little bottle stamp in my stash and randomly added that too. OK a bit of a mess but the thought behind the page was be bold, take a risk and don't bottle out...
I will enter the page into this weeks Stamplorations sketch challenge.

It's a dogs life
I know so many dog fans that I just have to make at least one doggie calendar for 2015. Stanley, from DigiStamp Boutique, is one of my favourite canine characters and so I used him here. The layout is the current Sweet Sketch Wednesday sketch.

I know orange and blue are an odd combination on a Christmas card, but it kind of works...(?) Or is it just me? I made this one using a Bugaboo image:

My second calendar for 2015, made again with an Alistair image from DigiStamp Boutique. Tried to make this one slightly more feminine than yesterdays. The layout follows the current Sketch Saturday challenge- really liked this sketch!

First 2015 calendar made!
I like to try and make calendars to give as Christmas presents each year- last year I only got to make one (for my parents) and so this year I have started a bit earlier. This is the first, made with an Alistair image from DigiStamp Boutique (love him!). I have used this weeks Sketch Saturday layout. What do you think?

Bobbi and Christmas tree
Bobbi (from DigiStamp Boutique) is just too cute to keep on a hard drive and not printed out often.... This card uses the Bobbi and Christmas tree image released last year. I have followed the current RetroSketches layout.

Winter Duchess JOY
This card uses the third image in the Winter Duchess set from DigiStamp Boutique. I like word-art type images and so this one particularly appeals. Again I have used pink a lot on this card. Must challenge myself to make a card with an image from this set which doesn't have any pink on it some day...
I will enter the card into this weeks Passion for Promarkers (sparkle) challenge.

Journal Page
It has been a while since I did an art journal page. Clare's second PaperArtsy GDT project this semester inspired me to get into it again.
I started with some junk cardboard- the backing board of a paper pack I have used up. Onto this I painted gesso and then acrylic paints to make the background. Next I stamped Clare' PA stamps in black ink. I also stamped one of the sentiments onto white paper for the text. This was cut out and stuck down.
There are so many things in life that we come away from thinking 'I wish I had said...' (or the opposite- 'I wish I hadn't said ...').
OK, so after putting up with my attempt at the 29 faces in September you were probably hoping I wouldn't *ever* draw another- lol! But I was tempted. Not sure she is my best :-( Eyes a bit too larger perhaps?
Anyway, she was coloured with Promarkers and then detailed with pencil crayons.
The little embellishments are made from shrink plastic (Clare's PA stamps and the coloured with Promarkers). I added a gem to the flowers to finish them off.
While I had the shrink plastic and heat gun out I decided to have another go at earrings (see Saturday's post for my 1st attempt). These ones turned out better I think.

Baby Bobbi
It has been a while since I used a Bobbi image from DigiStamp Boutique. Keep seeing them and thinking they mist be printed off again. Then was inspired to do so this week by one of the DSB DT (plus I wanted to make a baby card for an ex-college and this is perfect for it I think).
I will enter the card into this weeks Passion for Promarkers (Kraft) and Retro Sketches challenges.
