This weeks Pollycraft Monday challenge was to make a tag or a bookmark. I has these tags from a craft set I bought 3 years ago and not used and so thought it would be the perfect opportunity to add some decoration to one. the image I have used is a Pollycraft one. I have added a strip of corrugated cardboard from an old box across the bottom along with a ribbon and a brad. The maroon ribbon on the top of the tag is also recycled from a present given to Mum ages ago. I will also enter the tag into this weeks CES challenge (recycling).

Ribbon Candy!
Netty has got some fab ribbons from Fantastic Ribbons that she is giving away for her birthday.
Sparkly Christmas
This weeks Stampfairy challenge is to make a project with glitter. I have used this santa chimney image, coloured with promarkers and glitter. I have battled with my new sewing machine again to add the stitched details- they are somewhat wonky! I think I made a big mistake getting a mini machine since it is not the best! The thread keeps getting stuck in the tension adjuster and then the whole thing gets jammed up. I will persist though to see if I can get it to work any better...
I will also enter the card into this weeks Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge and CMLI challenge (Christmas tree).

Lil' Spook!
I got this cute image the other week in the Spooky Surprise offer and hadn't had time to use it until today. After seeing what did with her image, I just had to dig it out and use mine this weekend. I have followed the sketch from this weeks Cute Card Thursday challenge and will also enter it into this weeks Pollycraft challenge (pearls- on the corners- and swirls- embossed).
Willow Sketchie Challenge WOW
Sharon is offering a mega prize for this weeks WSC and so I got out my Walter Owl Christmas image and made a card using their sketch. I hope she likes my effort! I will also enter the card into this months challenge (old stash- old image and papers- I think I have made it to the magic number 5 for Sept now!!).
Christmas Mouse
This week saw the return of the Wednesday night Christmas card club on CMLI. I wasn't able to take part on Wednesday but made my card today. The recipe was set by Rosie and it was to include a mouse, traditional colours and glitter. This is my card made using a Digistamp Boutique image from last year and some papers from a few years ago. I have followed the sketch for this weeks Passion for Promarkers challenge and will also enter it into this months challenge (old stash).

The return of the sketchie!
There has been a few weeks break from the sketchie challenge on the CMLI thread of CB and it returned with a super sketch from GDT Clare this week. It was a nice simple sketch with the theme 'world is your oyster' so that we could let our imaginations run wild. I got out my LOTV stamp and made this girly card.
Beary Special
This weeks Passion for Promarkers challenge is the theme 'beary special'. I wanted to use this really cute stamped LOTV image which I got last year in a blog hop candy to make another Christmas card for my stash and this weeks ABC Christmas challenge (S) is to make a shaped card with either swirls, spots or stripes. Hence I have made another triangular shaped card. The base card is made from a sheet of green Co-ordinations card I have had for ages which I have embossed with swirls. I have added finishing touches of kraft card stock. The poinsettia is also something I bought last year. I will also enter this card into this months CCAYR challenge (old stash).

Spooky Surprise
Last Tuesday for Tuesday Treats Paula from Pollycraft had three digi images for 99p with the catch that you couldn't see them before you bought them. I couldn't wait to find out what the new releases looked like and so had to buy them and they are fab-three new Halloween type images. This is the Luna Bitterfrost one. I used my new sewing machine for the first time on this card to add stitching to the patchwork panel and you can see from the results that I need A LOT more practice!! The threads keep getting in a messy and I don't think I have the thread tension right yet, but it was fun.
I will enter the card into the following challenges- CES (magical or spooky), I love Promarkers (metal embellishment- paperclip and star), Cute Card Thursday (at the office- staples and paperclip) and Passion for Promarkers (patchwork).

Luna Science Rocks
This is one of the new Pollycraft newly released images that I won on the blog hop last week. I just love it and it is the perfect image for me since I'm doing a PhD in chemistry. The only problem is that I never actually go in a lab since the work I do is all computational, but still I have fallen in love with the image. I will dig it out in the future to make a card for my friend who is doing a PhD in microbiology and spends all of her days in the lab.
For this card I have teamed the image with some wacky papers and coloured her in bright colours. The layout follows this weeks Sweet Sketch Wednesday sketch. I will also enter the card into this weeks Passion for Promarkers challenge (patchwork- here I have used up scraps of the papers to make two patchwork panels. The stitching is faux, but I bought a very mini sewing machine as a treat for myself today and so hopefully I will be able to do the real thing soon without it taking me hours and hours by hand.)
Barry Winter
I got this image on Monday as last weeks Stampfairy prize and couldn't wait to get it printed and coloured. I have followed the sketch of the latest Stampfairy challenge and added two small Christmas bells and a strip of fancy pats lace wraps as finishing touches. Sorry the photo is not the best- I have just moved and so haven't figured out the best place in my new room for taking photos. I thought in the window was good but obviously it was too dark and then using the software to make it lighter has ended up with it looking washed out :-(. I'll learn in the next few weeks.
I'll enter the card also into this weeks I love Promarkers challenge (metal embellishment or charm).

Pocket Card #2
This is the second pocket card which I made yesterday (but finished too late to take a photo and so am posting it today). Again the base card is actually the innards of a roll of wrapping paper which I have ironed out. I have also used recycled corrugated card along the base and the button if off an old pair of trousers. The stitching is done by hand to add a little detail, but otherwise I have left the card fairly plain. This time I have not made a tag to put in the pockets on the front but may buy a gift card for someone for Christmas and use this card to give it to them.
I will enter the card into this weeks Colour Create (red, kraft and cream), Christmas cards all year round (old stash- the papers I have had for over 2 years and the stamp a year), Passion for Promarkers (anything goes), I love Promarkers (anything goes) and ABC Christmas (R is for recycling and ribbons (ribbon across the bottom)) challenges.

R is for Recycling, Ribbons and Rhinestones
This weeks ABC Christmas challenge is R is for recycling and ribbons or rhinestsones. I don't have any rhinestones and so have gone with a ribbon on my card. The kraft base card is actually the inner card of a roll of wrapping paper I got last Christmas to wrap presents in from Ikea. I had to iron it a few times to make it reasonably flat. I have also used recycled corregated card on this card across the bottom and for the 'buttons'. The image is a Chester one from Pollycraft and the papers old ones from 2 years ago. The card design has two pockets on the front for tags and gift vouchers.
I will enter the card into this weeks Colour Create (kraft, red and white), Christmas cards all year round (old stash), Passion for Promarkers (anything goes) and I love Promarkers (anything goes) challenges.

Spooky Birthday Wishes
This weeks Stampfairy Challenge was to use buttons and fibres on your card. At first I thought that I didn't have any fibres but then I remembered I had a little bit of this funky fibre wool left and so have used it. (Buttons, on the other hand, I had no trouble using.) The image is Tommy Wizard and it is the first time I have used it. I didn't know at first whether to make it into a Halloween card or a birthday one, but then I don't really give Halloween cards and so a birthday card is more practical.
I will enter the card into the following challenges this week: Pollycraft (felt- I stuck felt behind the sentiment), Sweet Sketch Wednesday (sketch), Passion for Promarkers (anything goes) and I love Promarkers (anything goes).
